The Nalco Champion Sakhalin team was recently recognized with the highest honor Exxon Neftegas Limited (ENL) gives to any contractor – the Safe Contractor of the Year Award.

Sakhalin District Manager Mark Stavinoha accepted the award. “I was extremely proud to accept this award on your behalf because of your consistent safety performance,” said Mark. “Thanks for focusing on Goal Zero every day.”

The award was presented by ENL Operations Manager Bryan Wesley in front of more than 100 fellow contractors and SH&E leaders at the Annual ENL Contractor Safety Forum.

SH&E Specialist Igor Popilyaev says all personnel and management are fully invested in Goal Zero and our safety processes, including leadership visibility at all sites, nonstop training processes, thorough inspections and contract management, frequent communication between teams, and both weekly and monthly meetings with customers that open with safety. The team also communicates any lessons learned from different incidents with each other as well as the customer.

“Congratulations on this prestigious ENL award,” Bo Rose, SH&E VP said. “Your performance will inspire many others in our organization to understand and believe this is possible. Thanks for your safety leadership continued belief in Goal Zero.”

The team previously won this award in 2014.
